Technology
Since
its formation Cambridge Life Sciences has been
involved in the research and development of
biosensors systems, with particular emphasis
on Platinised Activated Carbon
Electrodes (PACE) for the Medical Diagnostics
Arena since 1986. Not only have we widely developed
the technology, we have also established collaborative
research programmes with major diagnostic organisations,
licensing its application in the measurement
of analytes in a range of clinical areas.
At
the same time, the combination of strip immunodiagnostics
and impedance sensing has enabled us to develop
a generic immunosensor
device for the quantitative detection and measurement
of different analytes. The range of applications
is endless, from cardiac diagnosis to oncology,
simply by modifying the biological/biochemical
recognition step.
